Eden Teen Challenge
Eden Christian Ministries, founded 17 December 1991 by Ps. Herman Viljoen, was launched to reach hurting people. In February 1992 he started the center in Bloemspruit. |
In April 1992 the then presidential adviser for the Free State, Mr. Smith, was so impressed with the ministry that he convinced the government to give the current Eden Teen Challenge facility in Virginia to Eden. |

Beautiful meeting areas, tasty meals and comfortable rooms will be provided by Eden for the leadership Training Institute. This will be a historic time of dynamic preaching, practical training and glorious fellowship together. |

Power point, projection and handouts will be utilized in the state of the art meeting rooms. A schedule of tracing will be posted in the next 2 weeks. Topics have been solicited from leaders across the continent of Africa |

Training will include Teen Challenge Philosophy, curriculum, trauma care, HIV Strategies, coffee house outreach, "Living Free" and evangelism to address practical needs of your center or emerging ministry. There will also be times of fellowship, prayer and personal ministry to equip your team for the "long run." |

A few men from Bloemfontein went to Virginia to start the ministry there where they soon gathered children from the street and ministered to the down and out. Dr. Jana also started with clinics in the centers. And soon after that the South African railway (Transnet) made buildings available in Kroonstad and Bethlehem which was then utilized by Eden for centers in these areas. Eden is proud to be part of the Teen Challenge Ministries. |
